Machinist (2nd Shift)

About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Machinist for 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) to set up and operate various machines in a machine production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines. Read and interpret blueprints, part prints, and work orders. 
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, clamps, and workpieces. 
  • Adjust machine speeds, feeds, RPMs, and other controls. Run parts and inspect using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 
  • Prove out setups and maintain part quality and tolerances. 
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and replace worn tooling. 
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines. 
  • Complete production and inventory documentation. 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods. 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Safety-focused and detail-oriented.

Experience:
  • High School diploma, GED, and/or applied trade school education. 
  • Advanced shop math skills. 
  • Experience working with tight tolerances. 
  • Hazardous materials and safety training provided (OSHA / DOT / EPA compliant).
